Battlefleet Gothic Teaser Looks Beautiful

Warhammer 40K. Warhammer Fantasy. Space Hulk. Blood Bowl. Mordheim: City of the Damned. These are all Games Workshop properties that have electronic video games being developed. Let’s add one more to the list. This beautiful teaser is for a new game coming to PC from Tindalos Interactive. It’s called Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and even in teaser form it looks glorious.

I love this game. Turn based, ship to ship combat in space with some of the best looking models I’ve seen. We don’t know a whole lot about what this game actually entails, but you can bet there will be humans, Orks (they’re spelled with a K that’s how you know they belong in space), Eldar (space elves) and Chaos (demon possessed humans and creatures) involved.

Watch the teaser. Watch it. Oh, and if they don’t announce that a Warmaster game is coming soon I’m going to be very cross.

Infinity Goes to a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Infinity 3 Starter SetI guess we should have seen this announcement coming. It was only a matter of time before Disney leveraged the juggernaut that is Star Wars. Today, Disney officially confirmed that Disney Infinity 3.0 will features characters from the Star Wars universe.

The newest installment of Disney’s toys to life franchise, Disney Infinity 3.0 launches this Fall. The starter set will retail for $64.99. It includes a figure for Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano as well as a Star Wars playset entitled Twilight of the Republic.

That isn’t the only foray into the universe of Star Wars. There are at least three Star Wars playsets that have been announced. One of them takes places during the events of the Prequel Trilogy, Episodes I-III. Another one takes place during the events of the Original Trilogy, Episodes IV-VI. The last one will lead into the events of the newly announced trilogy, beginning with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In addition to the Star Wars playsets we can expect to see some based on Pixar’s upcoming film Inside Out as well as a new Marvel playset that features Hulkbuster Iron Man, Ultron and other charaters in the Marvel Universe.

Lastly there will be more characters from across the Disney library. These include new figures for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron: Legacy, Mulan and Olaf. There will be more announcements of characters and playsets to come at a later date.

This has also been confirmed. My Disney Infinity figure collection will grow by the number of Star Wars characters that are available. Here’s a trailer showing some of the new content. Head past the break for a few screenshots featuring many of the newly announced characters.

Disney Infinity 3.0 will be available this Fall for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PC, iOS, and Android.

Project Ukulele Officially Revealed

The spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kaooie series, Project Ukulele, was officially revealed today as Yooka-Laylee. The game is named after the two main characters, Yooka and Laylee. Yooka is a chameleon who uses its tongue like a grappling hook and Laylee is a bat who can grab Yooka and fly as well as fire sonic blasts. The character designs were done by Steve Mayles, who also did the designs for the Donkey Kong Country games and Banjo and Kazooie. Likewise, the game is created by the same team who did the Donkey Kong Country games and Banjo Kazooie.

This will be the first game by Playtonic Games, a studio comprised of former Rare developers. They’ll be launching a Kickstarter May 1st to fund the project. All backers will be able to pick up the finished game for £10/$15. There will also be other rewards such as the soundtrack, art books, and a 64-bit special edition. Can You Survive More Nights at Freddy’s

FreddyScott Cawthon has released a teaser image for the game franchise that seems to release a new game every other day. Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is officially happening. The image above states this will be the final chapter of the series. Freddy and the rest of the animatronics continue to get creepier and creepier as we go along.

The series is incredibly popular, especially when it comes to the Youtube community. It ranks third in most watched videos behind on Minecraft and GTA V. You can be that’s only going to get more popular as the franchise comes to a close.

The game is set to come out around Halloween and is called Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter. The first three games in the series are available to download through Steam and on mobile devices. There’s also a movie adaptation in the works from the minds behind The LEGO Movie and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Valve’s New Program Causes Major Backlash

The Nintendo Creators Program has been at the center of a lot of controversy lately. If you upload any video with Nintendo IP in it on Youtube, you’re subject to the program, even if you’re not attempting to make royalties. Also the list of games that can be used, if you’re part of the program, is quite limited. For instance, every version of Smash Bros. is missing from it. This, of course, hasn’t sat well with a lot of people, especially those making videos. So it’s hard to imagine that, not even half a year later, another company would come along and introduce an even more controversial program to gaming. Unfortunately, though, that’s exactly what happened.

Legend Of Kay Anniversary Pricing Revealed

Publisher Nordic Games gave a press release and some details for Legend of Kay Anniversary. The game will be going to Wii U, PS4, 360, PS3, PC, and Mac this summer. It will be priced at $19.99 / €19.99 to $29.99 / €29.99 depending on the platform. Right now on Amazon US, it’s priced at $24.99 on Wii U and $29.99 on PS4. The pricing reasoning could be summed up in this quote from Nordic:

Legend of Kay was a true gem on the Playstation 2 platform. Our strategy is to focus on our IPs and make them available to as many players as possible and also on the current generation of consoles. We keep our options open to expand on the Legend of Kay franchise in the future.

Apparently, Nordic Games wants to test the waters and see how people respond to the brand before making a completely new game using this IP. For that price, they could be on to something. What do you think? Are you willing to give the game a try at that price?

Star Wars Battlefront Reveal Trailer And Mission Mode Reveal

We learned almost a year ago at E3 2014 that a new Star Wars Battlefront game is in the works. Since then the game went silent for the most part with not much talked about. That changed recently when we started getting little teases. Today however we got a reveal trailer and let me tell you, the force is strong with this one.

Dice also revealed to IGN that the game won’t have a campaign but rather a mission mode. The decision to do this was so that you could play the battles of the original Trilogy without forcing you down a story. The mission mode can be played single player, local mulplayer co-op via split-screen, or online co-op. The missions will be two players split-screen for sure though this may change for online. They also went on to state that the original two games were all about multiplayer and they wanted to keep that style going with this one.
