A little over a week ago, Xenoblade Chronicles X released in Japan. We now have the media create numbers for that week to see how it did and how it effected the Wii U. Well it did quite well and gave Wii U a nice sales boost. Xenoblade Chronicles X sold 88k and came in at 3rd on the charts. Wii U sold 22,898 units and topped charts.
Xenoblade Chronicles X didn’t top charts but the game did very well and had a positive impact on Wii U in Japan. It’ll be interesting to see how the game will do when it comes west. We still don’t have a release date for North America and Europe but hopefully it won’t be too much longer now. E3 is right around the corner!
Over the past week, there’s been a lot of new footage of Xenoblade Chronicles X due to it releasing in other parts of the world. While us in the west have to wait for a release, those in the east are already playing the game. This also means that importers are already getting into the game as well, which means we’re also getting a lot of new info. Some such info comes in the way of NintenDomination’s Tilmen who’s confirmed the framerate and resolution via twitter.

Not a lot of new info came out of today’s presentation for Xenoblade Chronicles X but we did learn some interesting and good things. For starters, the translation is still being worked on so things are subject to change, but, the mechs aren’t called Dolls in the western version. Instead they’re called Skells, short for Exoskeleton.
Another little bit of news is the fact the game was reconfirmed for a 2015 release. When they spoke of the translation in the Treehouse, they said the game is still coming later this year. Sure it’s not a release date but at least we know we’ll be getting it this year.
As for the presentation itself, you can watch the whole thing after the jump.

Didn’t we just have one of these not that long ago? Now we’re having what I like to call a Nintendo Direct X. It’s all about Xenoblade Chronicles X. Tomorrow, April 24th at 2:00pm EST there will be a video presentation from Nintendo all about their upcoming RPG from Monolith Soft. Afterward there will be Treehouse: Live presentation featuring the game.
Watch it. This game is probably going to be awesome. Just go here if you want to see all they have to say about the game.
Since it was first shown off back in back in January of 2013 under the name X, Xenoblade Chronicles X has been one of the most anticipated upcoming Wii U games. Yet unlike other Wii U games, information about the game has been coming out at a snails pace. Luckily, because the game is right around the corner for Japan and is coming out later this year for North America and Europe, we’re finally beginning to get some solid information on this upcoming title. If you seen anything on Xenoblade Chronicles X, you know that the game has giant robot mech-suits in it. We’ve also already learned earlier this year that the game will indeed have multiplayer functions. Thanks to yesterday’s Japanese Presentation, we finally have some solid information on both of these!
I should note, the above video is only a partial translation that has different things cut from it. Much of the info in here comes from the translation in the video, watching the uncut untranslated presentation in extreme detail, and other places around the web.

The next Xenoblade Chronicles X Japanese presentation is going to start in about 7 hours from now. The presentation will cover will focus on Dolls (giant robots) and network features. Who knows what all information they’ll show. Either way, we’ll finally hear more about the multiplayer features they’ve been keeping a tight lip on. Wanna see the presentation live? We got you covered!
It’s been known for quite some time that Xenoblade Chronicles X would have DLC quests. What wasn’t known is if the quests would require a payment or if they would be free. Well, not too long ago download cards surfaced for the game that imply there might be paid DLC. Many are speculating that this is true though because the bundle that’s releasing in Japan will be releasing with a 1000 Yen eShop card.
There has been no confirmation on if this is true or not however we should know soon. On April 10th, there will be a Xenoblade Chronicles X presentation where it’s expected that we hear more about this and the games online content.
The new Xenoblade Chronicles X Battle Direct has been translated in full and there’s a TON of information dropped in it. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already and for those who want to read a little, I’m going to try and break it down to the best of my abilities.

Nintendo announced a new Japanese Nintendo Direct for Xenoblade Chronicles X on March 6th. The direct will be similar to the one from last time however this time the focus will be on combat. You can catch the new Nintendo Direct at 8 AM on the East Coast, 7 AM Central, 5 AM on the West Coast, and 1 PM in the UK. Xenoblade Chronicles X will be getting a late April release in Japan though there’s still no word on when we’ll see it in the America’s and Europe. This is unfortunate too, I need to sink my teeth into this juicy steak soon.
In other Xenoblade news, a new trailer has been released for Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. The new trailer named “Heir to the Monado” makes story the focus. It’s definitely a good trailer to see for those on the fence and want to get an idea of what the game has to offer without spoilers. Definitely check it out! Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be out April 2nd in Europe and Japan and April 10th in North America.
